Collection: Dust Devil

Artist’s Statement: These are pretty easy to explain. Dust Devils. Always liked ‘em. Nguyn had never seen one – except the ones on Mars of course
– So we loaded up 200 randomly auto-plundered photos of dust devils in the wild, and let Nguyn chew on it overnight. These are our favorites.
If you look carefully, you can see that each shard that comprises the scene – is itself composed of the scene it abstracts!
The angle and size of the “holographic” generated shards is influenced by their color – its auto-recursive-self-referentialismism!
The image feeds off itself to create itself anew – the image broken and flowing through its own form, lines of force incarnate.
Just like a whirlwind made visible by the “stuff” it picks up. We are pleased.
